# Moving Your Control Point

Oct 21, 2026, 12:58:07 PM

Hi there - here’s the latest from To the Point!

Until recently, it wasn't possible to move your control point after starting a project, you would have to create a new project and start over. Now, you can move your control point while keeping your existing points, PDF placement, shapes, and other project work intact.

One important thing to keep in mind: You’ll need access to your original control point to localize your project before moving it. Be sure to complete this process before your original control point is disturbed or destroyed.

See it in action in the video below!

<iframe width="256" height="453" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gQnDwD82wJs?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen title="To the point: Moving your control point" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: medium;"></iframe>

Thanks for being part of the Kinsman community. I'll be back next week with more from the field!
